ISLAMABAD: Amir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Tuesday said he had canceled the no-confidence move against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak.

Addressing a press conference here, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said the objective of no-confidence move has been achieved, therefore, his party has decided to cancel the plan to pursue it.

He, however, said that the no-confidence motion had been presented after holding due consultations. “Today’s decision to cancel the move has also been reached after holding deliberations,” he added.

Criticizing the incumbent provincial government, he alleged that the provincial resources were not being utilized on its people.

He also accused the KP government of mercilessly squandering provincial resources on the protest sit-ins.

“No development work is visible anywhere in the province while its law and order situation also remains a cause of grave concern,” he lamented, adding, butchered bodies are still being found in the province.
